FEAST OF THE ASSUMPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY
Friday 15 August

As well as 10.30am and 6pm masses, there will be a sung Latin Mass at 7pm, followed by drinks in the Church Hall, to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

THE PORTIUNCULA INDULGENCE
Saturday 2 August

This is a Plenary Indulgence which may be gained once by visiting our parish church on Saturday 2nd August, the Feast in Assisi of Saint Mary of the Angels.

The usual conditions apply: a visit to the church during which the Our Father and Creed are recited, together with a prayer for the Holy Father’s intentions and sacramental Confession and Holy Communion within a week.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Tuesdays, 6.00pm - 8.45pm

We are looking for volunteers over the summer at the St Mary Magdalen’s East Hill Supper Club, every Tuesday from 6pm to 8.45pm in the Church Hall. We serve around 40 guests every week. Come along to lend a hand and chat to our visitors!

Occasional attendance welcome, all ages of volunteers are welcome, from 16 to 90! (Minors need to be accompanied by a responsible adult.)

POPE FRANCIS BOOK CLUB
Friday 12 September, 8.00pm

Our next Book Club meeting will be after the summer holidays - giving us all plenty of time to read the text, Graham Greene’s The Heart of the Matter.

All are welcome. Cheese and wine will be provided. Please let Father Martin know if you plan to attend on magdalenabookclub@gmail.com.

PARISH BARBECUE
Sunday 14 September, 12.30pm

The annual Parish Barbecue will take place on the External Solemnity of the Feast of St Mary Magdalen. Tickets are available in the Sacristy.
